Waste to Energy Solutions

Applications

CETY’s Waste to Heat technology is a containerized system that utilizes the High Temperature Ablative Pyrolysis Reactor (HTAP) for the production of synthetic (renewable) natural gas to be used as fuel for onsite power generation or CNG applications.

Our system can be configured for a number of industries, and applications, with each solution optimized and tailored to the facility’s needs. Additional output options of the system can also be used including liquid hydrocarbons (dimethyl ether, methanol) or renewable hydrogen.

When operational, it emits no emissions, liquid residue discharge, or zero solid residue waste, making it the ideal solution for many industrial and municipal facilities that produce harmful costly waste byproducts.

Common Applications

Example applications that have delivered numerous successful installations include the following:

Industrial solid waste such as plastic, paper, wood, and food.

Agricultural Farming and Processing Waste

Municipal Solid Waste and Non-Recyclables

Industrial and Municipal wastewater sludge

Excavated Waste from Legacy Landfills

Refused Derived Fuel and Solid Refused Fuel (RDF/SRF)

Forestry Waste

Peat and Lignite

Automotive Shredder Residue (ASR)

Example Installations

Poultry Farm Manure

Waste source: mixture of cage and bedding poultry farming manure. This manure has moisture content 50%, ash content 10%, volatiles level 84%.

Required manure flow for one HTAP10 unit is 58 tpd or 20780 tons annually. Gross electric power generation from this manure is 2400 kW.

Heat from HTAP5 and gensets is used for waste drying.

Plywood and Fiberboard Production Waste

Waste source: Mixture of wood chips, sawdust, bark from sawmill and plywood production factory. Waste has moisture content 40%, ash content 2% and volatiles level 87%.

Waste required for HTAP5 unit is 24 tpd or 8600 tons annually.

Gross electric power generation from this waste is 1340 kW. Heat from HTAP5 and gensets is partially used for waste drying.

Paper Recycling - Plastic and Cardboard Mix

Waste source: Packaging plastic and cellulose from paper recycling factory. Plastic is mostly polyethylene-based materials. Waste has moisture content 60%.

Waste flow for one HTAP5 Unit is 35 tpd or 12540 tons annually. Gross electric power generation from this waste is 1300 kW.

Heat from HTAP5 and gensets is used for waste drying.

Rice Husk

Waste source: Rice processing and packaging factory.

Rice husk has moisture content 8%, ash content 20% and volatiles 68%.

Waste flow for one HTAP5 unit is 15 tpd or 5375 tons annually. Gross electric Power production from this waste is 1000 kW.

Recuperated heat from HTAP5 is used for waste drying.

Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB)

Waste source: Palm oil production mill.

EFB has moisture content 65%, ash content 5% and volatiles level of 80%. Waste required for HTAP10 unit is 80 tpd or 28380 tons annually. Gross electric power generation from this waste is 2400 kW.

Recuperated heat from HTAP10 and gensets is used for waste drying.

Municipal Solid Waste

Waste source: Non-recyclable part of MSW, including food organics. MSW mixture has moisture content 50%, ash content 19% and volatiles 71%.

Waste required for one HTAP10 unit is 72 tpd or 25800 tons annually. Gross electric power generation from this waste is 2400 kW.

Recuperated heat from HTAP10 and gensets is used for waste drying.
